Description
Oak Lodge is a house dating from the late 18th century, constructed of stucco with limestone dressings, featuring gable-end stacks and a pantile roof. It has a double-depth plan and is designed in the late Georgian style. The building stands two storeys high and has a three-window range. The symmetrical front includes a pedimented doorcase with a semicircular-arched doorway, a six-panel door, and a fanlight, all set back behind panelled reveals and soffit. The ground floor features canted bays with six-pane sash windows, and the first floor has similar windows. The interior has not been inspected. Attached to the right-hand end of the house is a wall with rusticated ashlar piers topped with gableted caps. The gate piers and gate were listed separately on March 4, 1977.
