Pair of attached houses. c1840. Stucco with limestone dressings, party wall stacks, slate roof. Double-depth plan. Late Georgian style with Greek Revival-style decoration. Each of 3 storeys, basement and attic; 2-window range. A tall front with a shallow full-width pediment has single-storey side entrance porches, and a prominent niche in the centre with a panelled sill and bracketed lintel with acroteria. The porches have pilasters to an entablature with acroteria, 6-panel doors with round middle panels, and semicircular-arched side windows with margin bars. Windows have 6/6-pane sashes with thin bars, 3/3-panes on the second floor. INTERIOR: entrance hall to a lateral steep dogleg winder stair with stick balusters, column newels and a steeply ramped rail; 6-panel doors, panelled shutters, fluted marble fireplaces with roundels, and ceiling roses.
