Description
Willow Cottage is a late 18th century to early 19th century building located on Salisbury Road. It is constructed of painted brick and features a brick eaves band and cornice. The roof is covered with modern pantiles and has end chimneys. The cottage is two storeys high and has three windows, which are generally sash windows with late 19th century glazing, except for a dummy window on the first floor in the center. On the south side, there is a ground floor angular bay with arched lights and a cornice. The entrance is marked by a centrally located gabled porch. Willow Cottage is part of a group of buildings that includes Holmfield College, Winkton Lodge Cottage, St Anne's and Kimbolton Cottages, Clifton Cottage, and Bumble Bee Cottage, along with Monks Revel and Gosfield Cottages opposite. Holmfield College and Winkton Lodge Cottage are noted for their local interest.
