Description

This is a street lamp located approximately 2 metres south-east of the rear of St George's Almshouses, dating from the late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a round plinth with a decorated panel, as well as a band adorned with shells and the arms of Poole. Below the shaft, there is an enriched band, and the shaft itself is decorated with a spiral binding. The lamp has a scrolled bracket supporting a tapered square lamp, which is topped with a cap and finial.
