Description

This is a street lamp located approximately 5 metres south-east of the Church of St James in Poole. It dates from the late 19th century and is made of cast iron. The lamp features a round plinth with a decorated panel and a band that displays shells and the arms of Poole. Below the shaft, there is an enriched band, and the shaft itself is adorned with decorative spiral binding. The lamp has a scrolled bracket supporting a tapered square lamp with a cap and finial.
