Description

This is a street lamp located approximately 3 metres south of number 15 Market Street, which is The Guildhall Tavern. It dates from the late 19th century and is made of cast iron. The lamp features a round plinth with a decorated panel and a band that includes shells and the arms of Poole above it. There is an enriched band below the shaft, which has a decorative spiral binding. The lamp is supported by a scrolled bracket leading to a tapered square lamp that has a cap and finial.
