Description

This is a house, originally two separate properties, now combined into one. It likely dates from the early to mid-18th century, with extensions added in the late 18th century and alterations made in the mid-20th century. The front is brick, with a tile-hung rear, brick stacks at the ends of the central section, and a tiled roof with stone slate verges. The house has a single-depth plan with extensions at each end.

The building is two storeys and an attic, with a cellar to the original number 3. The front has a 1:2:2 window arrangement. The central range is double-fronted, with a brick plat band and cogged brick eaves. A restored doorway has an eared architrave and a pediment, a timber door with six raised panels, and 8/8-pane sash windows in flush frames under rubbed brick flat arches; a blind window sits above the door. The right-hand section has similar windows and a mid-20th century brick buttress. The left-hand section, rebuilt in the 20th century, features similar windows and a bowed return with a half-conical roof.

The interior was not inspected, but the Royal Commission on Historic Monuments and Ancient Sites (RCHME) reported a collar beam roof.
