Description

This is a street lamp located approximately 3 metres south of number 38 High Street in Poole. It was made in the late 19th century and is constructed from cast iron. The lamp features a round plinth with a decorated panel and a band adorned with shells and the arms of Poole above it. Below the shaft, there is an enriched band, and the shaft itself has a decorative spiral binding. The lamp is supported by a scrolled bracket and has a tapered square shape with a cap and finial at the top.
