Description

Ames Cottage is a house that was remodeled in the early to mid 18th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a slate mansard roof behind a parapet, along with a moulded and coved cornice. The building has end pilasters and consists of two storeys with attics in the dormers. On the ground floor, there is one plain glazing bar sash window and a door. The first floor has three windows, which are 18-pane sashes set in architraves with thick glazing bars. The central window has a semi-circular head with imposts and a keystone that supports a capital. Above the ground floor, there is a moulded string course. To the right, there is a modern door and porch.
