Description
The Old Parsonage, which includes the gatepiers and gate to the east, is a house dating from the mid to late 17th century, with alterations and extensions made in the 18th and 19th centuries. The building is constructed of rubble and features a double Roman tiled roof. It has two storeys and attics, with a steep gabled dormer. The house has five bays, arranged as two and two, with a large central full-weight gabled wing. There is one glazing bar sash window to the right of the porch, which has architraves and a cornice, and a clock is located on the first floor of the projecting wing. The east elevation showcases a two-light casement window with ovolo moulded mullions. A plank door is situated to the side of the projecting wing, set beneath a modern four-centred arch lintel. Approximately five yards to the east stand the gatepiers and gate, which feature ashlar gatepiers topped with bell-shaped caps and cast iron finials, along with decorative cast iron gates.
