Description
The building is a store located to the west of the churchyard in Freshford, dating from the late 18th century. It is built into the wall of Church Hill and constructed from rubble with a lean-to tiled roof. The entrance features a plank door with strap hinges, and there is a small cast iron grille window. Parish records indicate that the building was used as a fire-engine house in 1815, according to a personal communication from Dr. A. Dodge.
