Description

An early 18th-century bridge spanning the River Chew, with later 19th-century and mid-20th-century alterations. The bridge is constructed of roughly-coursed limestone rubble, with dressed stone used for the buttresses and arches. It features two round-headed arches on each side of the stream, each with a diagonally-set cutwater. A rubble wall extends to the south, facing Chewton Place, and a late 19th-century ironwork fence runs along the north side.
