Description

The walls, railings, and gatepiers at the front of Montague House date from the late 18th century. They are constructed from limestone ashlar and wrought iron. The front garden is enclosed by rough ashlar walls that are approximately 1 meter high and extend about 50 meters across the front, returning to the left for about 20 meters and to the right for 10 meters. There are two pairs of gatepiers at the front, which feature chamfered rustication, cornices, and block tops.
