Description

School Cottage is a former school house, now a private residence, dating from around 1840. It is constructed of rubble with freestone dressings and features a pantiled roof. The building is single storey with attics in dormer gables. It has two 2-light casement windows with chamfered mullions and surrounds, set under relieving arches, and decorated with lattice pattern glazing. There is a projecting gabled porch that includes a 20th-century door. The adjacent Village Hall was formerly the school room.
