Description

The Village Hall, originally a school, dates from around 1840. It is constructed of rubble and features a pantile roof. The building is a single-storey hall with a 2-light casement window on the right, which has chamfered mullions and a decorative lattice glazing. There is a central lateral stack and a projecting gabled porch on the left, which includes a chamfered doorway with a 4-centre head. A 4-light window is located on the south gable end, complete with a relieving arch above it. Inside, the roof is supported by scissor brace trusses. The hall is adjacent to the former school house, known as School Cottage.
