Description
Magnolia Cottage is a house located on The Hill, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from ashlar stone and features a hipped modern tile roof behind a parapet with a cornice. The building has two storeys and a basement, with a total of four bays. The windows are glazing bar sash windows, with larger pane sashes on the ground floor. There is a plat band above the ground floor, and a late 19th-century door is positioned off centre to the right. A cast iron veranda spans the entire front of the house, which is situated on a raised terrace. The east elevation includes a large bow window with a curved stack on the parapet, and five glazing bar sash windows, three of which belong to Magnolia Cottage, as it was formerly part of the same house.
