Description

The monument to the Spencer family is a chest tomb located in the churchyard to the south of Holy Trinity Church in Newton St. Loe. It dates from 1780 and 1823 and is constructed from limestone ashlar. The tomb features square inscribed panels, fluted pilasters, a moulded plinth and cornice, and a fluted frieze. It is surrounded by iron railings that have urn and spear finials.
