Description

The Spencer monument, located about 3 yards north-east of the Church of St Nicholas, is a chest tomb dedicated to William Spencer, who died in 1780. It is constructed from sandstone ashlar and features gadrooned corner balusters. The inscription panel is adorned with a running foliage border, and the tomb has a moulded capping that is now topped by a later 19th-century pyramidical slab.
