Description

The monument to the Charles family is a chest tomb located in the churchyard to the north-west of Holy Trinity Church. It commemorates George Charles, who died in 1855, along with his family. The tomb is made of limestone ashlar and features a square shape with inscribed, sunken panels. It is adorned with paired Tuscan pilasters that support pediments, which have enriched tympani. The family arms are carved on the side of the tomb.
