Description
The monument to the Ford family is located in the churchyard immediately to the south of the porch of St Michael's Church in Compton Dando. This chest tomb features a legible date of 1640, although it may be older. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and includes inscribed freestone panels with inset lead lettering. The monument has a deeply chamfered base and cornice.
