G.V. II

House. Late C17 origins, major early C19 extension. Ashlar front, remainder rubble with freestone dressings, double range mansard slate roofs with raised coped verges. 2 storeys and attic, 3 windows, tripartite sash windows to each side, central 6-panel door, architrave, flat hood on brackets, plat band, central sash, cornice, parapet, pair of hipped dormers each with two 4-pane casements to left, lower earlier gabled wing is visible, showing at first floor two 3-light ovolo-moulded mullion casements, one blocked. Rear, main block has 3-light flat mullion casements to left, to right a sash above and a 6-pane casement below, centre stair-lighting sash, ground floor behind a pantile and transparent corrugated plastic pentice on 4 Tuscan columns which sweeps round onto gable end lean-to; earlier lower hipped wing has 2 storeys, 2 windows first floor retains 2-light edge-moulded mullion casements, one blocked, to right is flight of stairs to door. Interior: not inspected.
