Description
The Cottage is a house dating from the mid-17th century. It is constructed of rubble with quoins and features freestone dressings. The roof is made of pantiles and has raised coped verges, along with an ashlar stack. The building has two storeys and four windows, all of which are two-light casements with ovolo-moulded mullions. On the first floor, the windows are positioned below a continuous string course beneath the eaves. The ground floor has windows at the centre, flanked by an inserted plank door to the left and a later door under a flat hood supported by brackets to the right. The south gable includes a similar blocked first-floor window beneath a hoodmould, while the rear elevation features a similar blocked window and remnants of two others. The interior has not been inspected.
