Description
Becket's Place, formerly known as Elm Farmhouse, is a house dated 1668. It is constructed of rubble, with coursed stone on the main elevation, and features double Roman tile roofs with raised coped verges, ashlar gable, and double central stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic, with four windows, all of which are 2-light casements that have reserved ovolo-moulded mullions beneath continuous strings. There is a central gabled porch with a similarly moulded frame, a date plaque, and a small side light. The right return gable includes a 2-light attic window and a blocked first-floor light beneath a short piece of returning string. The left gable features a 2-light attic window under a hoodmould and a similar window at the first floor under a string that returns across the gable. The right rear wing has one 3-light window beneath a drip. The interior has not been inspected.
