Description

The boundary wall with piers and gate to No. 92 is a structure from the mid-18th century, featuring some 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of rubble and ashlar and spans the full width of the house's frontage on Magdalen Road, extending back to Holloway, where it adjoins the porch of St Mary's Chapel. Opposite the main door, there are two large square piers with cappings. Each side of the wall rises to approximately 1.6 meters with coping, sweeping down at the left end and up at the right. At the corner, there is a large rusticated pier topped with a moulded capping and a ball finial. The return wall includes a plank door set beneath a swept raised lintel.
