Description
No. 7 Margaret's Buildings is a Grade II listed building made of limestone ashlar, with an unseen roof. It has a double depth plan and stands four storeys tall with a three-window front. The exterior features a coped parapet, a stopped cornice, and plain openings for the plate glass sash windows on the upper floors, which do not have horns. The shop front includes a well-crafted moulded cornice on the fascia, semicircular arched recesses with pilasters on the left, and a flanking 20th-century six-panel door with an overlight on the right. The shop window consists of three panes of plate glass with a moulded sill.
The interior, inspected in 1982, showcases Georgian timber stairs with Doric newels and features both Georgian and early-Victorian fireplaces.
