Description

This house, dating from the 1770s to 1780s, is part of an irregular terrace that rises gradually. It was likely developed by John Wood the Younger. The construction utilizes limestone ashlar, with the ground floor painted. The roof is a double-pitched mansard style, covered with slate, and features two paired dormers, along with moulded chimney stacks on the left party wall.

The building has three main floors, with attic and basement levels, and presents a three-window facade. A slightly returned parapet, a stopped cornice, and a platband mark the exterior, with splayed reveals on the windows. The windows are sash windows with six panes per sash. Those on the first floor have lowered sills, while the ground floor windows have horns. A trellised balcony is positioned on the first floor. An engaged Tuscan column porch is on the right side of the facade, where a former pediment has been replaced by a blocking course. The front door is centrally located, raised and fielded, with reeded detailing at the base and glazed upper panels. The interior has not been inspected.
