Description

Belgrave Cottage is a house dating from 1873, built of limestone ashlar with a double Roman tile roof. It steps forward from the right-hand end of Belgrave Place. The building is symmetrical with a three-window front. The first floor has a sill band with brackets, while the ground floor has a platband, both continuing from the adjacent terrace. The central front door is bolection moulded, in four panels, with a segmental arched overlight and a dated keystone. The upper surround of the door matches that of the first floor windows. Ground floor windows have raised shouldered surrounds and bracketed sills. The roof is hipped to the right, with a moulded stack rising from the centre ridge and a party wall stack continuing the line of Belgrave Place to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
