This is a house dating from the early to mid 18th century, constructed of rubble with a modern tiled roof featuring a coped raised verge. The building has two storeys and is designed with two windows that are 2-light casement windows with plain stone mullions. On the ground floor, there is a modern casement window and a central door. This cottage is included for its group value with the adjacent properties, Manorthorpe and Gardenthorpe.
