Description

Hermitage Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century to the early 18th century. It is constructed of rubble with a modern tiled roof featuring coped raised verges. The building has two storeys and an attic, with two windows and a central door. The windows are three-light casements with moulded stone mullions and surrounds beneath a cornice. The south-east gable includes a partially blocked four-light casement under a drip mould on the ground floor and a single-light casement with a cusped head in the attic. The central door is modern and set in a chamfered plain stone surround.
