Description

Viking is a cottage that dates from the 17th century or earlier and was refronted in the 19th century. The east elevation features painted brick on the ground floor and plaster on the first floor, while the south elevation shows some exposed timber framing on the ground floor, although it is mainly covered in painted brick with tile hanging above. The cottage has a tiled roof that is half-hipped at one end, with brick chimney stacks at both ends. It is two storeys high and has two windows. The 19th-century triple casement window is present, and on the ground floor to the north, there is a four-light window with a flat hood supported by brackets, which was likely originally a shop window. The central doorcase also has a flat hood on brackets and features a modern door.
