Description

This is a mid-19th century cottage located on the east side of High Street, Lindfield. It is constructed of painted brick, with the side elevation tile hung, and has a slate roof. The cottage is L-shaped and two storeys high, with three window spaces. The windows are sash windows with retained glazing bars, all with cambered heads. The central window space is blank. A central doorcase features a cambered head and a six-panel door with the top two panels glazed. There is an end chimney stack. Attached to the south is a low brick industrial building with a large, louvred window, likely originally used as a forge or joiners workshop. The property is included on the list for its group value.
