Description
The Bent Arms Hotel is a hotel located on High Street in Lindfield. It consists of two parts: the northern section dates from the late 18th century, while the southern section was built in the late 19th century and is not of special interest. The northern part is constructed of painted brick and features a hipped tiled roof. It has two storeys and three windows, with 16-pane sash windows in moulded architraves on the first floor and two tripartite sashes with horns on the ground floor. The entrance has a simple cambered doorcase. A late 18th-century scrolled wrought iron inn sign fixture is also present. The north elevation facing Bushes Lane includes a Venetian window, likely indicating a first-floor assembly room. At the rear, there is a brick chimney stack. The interior contains a diverse collection of architectural salvage.
