Description

No. 109 High Street is a house with an early 19th-century facade that likely covers a late 17th-century structure, indicated by a date plaque reading "3 E in 1680" on the south wing, which is built of brick. The building is finished in stucco and has a slate roof with end chimney stacks. It stands two storeys tall with an attic and features two windows. The facade includes a balustraded parapet with three raised panels and a cornice, along with fluted Ionic pilasters on either side. The windows are 16-pane sashes, and there is a central wide doorcase adorned with a cornice and pilasters, which holds a six-fielded panelled door flanked by sidelights. The south service wing is set back and resembles the main structure but has been completely modernised.
