Description

This is a chest tomb located approximately 5 metres south of the corner of the nave of the church in Cuckfield. It dates from around 1788, although the inscription was illegible at the time of the survey. The tomb is made of sandstone and features a carved sandstone base, with end balusters that are also carved. It has a moulded cornice that supports a flat slab, which bears the inscription.
