Description

A semi-detached pair of houses located at 68 and 70 Sunnywood Drive, built between 1934 and 1936 by the architect Berthold Lubetkin and his firm Tecton. They are part of a group of eight houses constructed together in the International Modern style. The houses are built of brick with a flat roof concealed by cement coping. They are two storeys high with a 4:2 window arrangement. The first floor has casement windows with concrete window boxes. The ground floor features two continuous windows extending the full width, accompanied by a concrete balcony. A flat-headed cement hood shelters the doorcase on the side elevation. Number 68 retains a semi-circular staircase.
