Description

House of 1934-6, designed by Lubetkin and Tecton, and one of eight houses built together in the International modern style. The house is constructed of brick on a cement plinth, with a flat roof concealed by cement coping. It is two storeys high, with a 2:1 window arrangement. Later 20th-century metal-framed casements have been installed on the first floor within existing window openings, accompanied by cement window boxes. A continuous window runs the full width of the ground floor. A round-headed doorcase with a round-headed hood is located to the side. The building is noted in Pevsner’s Buildings of England: Sussex, p 530.
