Description

No. 63 Sunnywood Drive is a house built between 1934 and 1936 by Lubetkin and Tecton, part of a group of eight houses designed in the International modern style. The building features a brick exterior set on a cement plinth, with a flat roof that is concealed by a cement coping. It is two storeys high and has a symmetrical façade with two windows on the first floor and a continuous window spanning the entire width of the ground floor, which includes two metal-framed casements with cement window boxes. A cement balcony is located on the ground floor. The side entrance has a round-headed doorcase with a round-headed hood that sweeps down to the ground on the left side. Inside, the house retains an original semi-circular staircase that is built onto a half-elliptical fireplace.
