Description
This building is a barn located approximately 40 metres southeast of Legh Manor, dating from the 18th century. It is a stable with a hayloft above, constructed with a timber frame and aisled to the east. The exterior is clad in weatherboarding, resting on a red brick base, and features a hipped tiled roof.
On the north elevation, there is a blocked first-floor opening and three casement windows. The west side has brickwork at the ground floor level and also features three casement windows. The east side includes two inserted 20th-century plank doors. Inside, the barn has a through purlin roof and a frame supported by diagonal braces. The ground floor contains wooden stall partitions. Additionally, there is a one-storey wing to the east that uses matching materials.
