Description

Legh Manor is a 16th-century timber-framed house located on the Cuckfield Road, near Anstye. Built by John and Mary Hussey, the house was later restored in 1917 by Sir Edwin Lutyens for Sir William and Lady Chance, who subsequently bequeathed it to the Sussex Archaeological Society. The house is two storeys high and has three windows. It is now tile-hung above a red brick base, with a Horsham slab roof. Casement windows are set into the facade. A two-storey gabled porch, featuring moulded bargeboards, is present. A modern porch has been added to the east side. Internally, the house has a Queen-post roof.
