Description

The barn at Bishopstone Farm is a structure with origins in the 16th century, but it was likely built in the 18th century. It features an oak timber frame resting on a stone and brick plinth, and it is clad in weatherboarding. The roof is half-hipped and covered with tiles. The barn has off-central double cart doors, a casement window, and wooden doors. It consists of four bays and has an angled queen strut roof without a ridgepiece, upright posts with an 18th-century profile, a midrail, and some curved braces to the wallplate. There is an inserted floor and partition at one end.
