Description
This early 19th-century property comprises numbers 7 and 8 The Causeway, and has been altered later. It is two storeys and an attic, constructed of red brick with a modillion eaves cornice. The west-facing elevation has three dormers, and one faces north. There are four windows on the west side and one to the north. A bay window on the first floor of the north wing is now supported by brick pillars. Most of the windows are sash windows with intact glazing bars and feature a central light with a segmental head. Number 8 has a six-panel door with a rectangular fanlight. The listed buildings on The Causeway form a very important group alongside the listed buildings in Market Square and South Street.
