Description

This is an 18th-century building comprising two storeys and three windows, located on the south side of Westgate. It is directly adjacent to the western extension of Marriott House, although it has a lower frontage. The building has a steeply pitched tiled roof and painted brickwork. It features sliding sash windows; those on the ground floor originally had curved headings and wooden shutters. The windows contain glazing bars. A doorway is framed by Doric pilasters and topped with a pediment. The door itself is glazed at the top and has two fielded panels below, bearing a fire insurance company mark. A one-storey extension to the west is constructed of painted brick and includes a flat-arched doorway with a wooden boarded door.
