Description

These are four late 18th-century terraced houses, numbered 28 to 31, located on the north-west side of Cavendish Street. They have slate gabled roofs and two storeys, with one window above and one below on each elevation, all set within slightly segmental arches. The sash windows retain their original glazing bars. Numbers 28, 29, and 30 are constructed of painted brick, while number 31 is of red brick with alternating grey header bricks. Numbers 28 and 29 have doors set within reveals, each with a flat arched doorway and a round-headed arch above, the triangular space above the arch being blocked. Numbers 30 and 31 feature doorways with trellised hoods supported by brackets. These houses are part of a group with numbers 1 to 50.
