Description
These are two early 19th-century terraced houses, numbered 48 and 49, Cavendish Street. Each house has two storeys and one bay. They have slate roofs and fronts faced with grey headers. The windows are tall sash windows; No. 48 retains glazing bars, while No. 49 has a more modern casement window. A canted bay window has been added to the ground floor of No. 49. Each house has a doorway with red brick dressings and a fanlight above. The windows also have red brick dressings. Nos 48 and 49 are part of a wider group of buildings, Nos 1 to 50, which form a cohesive architectural grouping.
