Description
59 and 61 St Paul's Road are early to mid 19th century buildings that stand two storeys high and feature two windows each. They have hipped slate roofs with a central stack. The buildings are constructed of flint with yellow brick quoins and dressings, and they display a yellow brick modillion eaves cornice. The upper floors have modern casement windows with yellow brick dressings; No 59 has two light windows, while No 61 has three light windows. On the ground floor, there are two single light casement windows with wide pointed panes set in wide pointed arches with brick dressings. The doorways are similarly arched, with doors that have six panels and fanlights above; the fanlight of No 61 features Gothic tracery. No 61 also has a semi-circular hood decorated with wrought iron work, supported on iron columns, while No 59 has a modern corrugated polythene hood resting on delicate brackets.
