Description
17 and 18 Washington Street are early 19th-century buildings located on the southeast side of Washington Street. They are similar in design to Nos 11-16, featuring two storeys with one window each. The buildings are constructed from flint cobbles with red brick dressings. Notably, they have a lower frontage and ridge-line compared to their neighbors, and the doorways are adorned with Doric pilasters and rectangular pediments. Each entrance has a six-panel moulded door. Together with Nos 1 to 18 and 22 to 40, these buildings form a cohesive group.
