Description

No. 44 North Street is an 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall and features five windows. It has a tiled hipped roof and a small brick cornice with dentils just below the eaves. The building is constructed of painted brick, with smaller windows on the second floor. The sash windows have flush boxes set in flat arches, and the glazing bars remain intact. Painted brick voussoirs are present above the windows. The doorway is adorned with Doric columns and a pediment, leading to a six-panelled door with four fielded panels and a semi-circular fanlight with tracery above. Nos. 35 to 49 North Street form a group with this building.
