Description
No. 9 North Street is a 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall and is constructed of painted brick, with some areas of renewed brickwork. It features a brick parapet and a wooden cornice with modillions. The façade includes two sash windows with renewed glazing bars. In the centre, there is a doorcase flanked by engaged fluted Doric columns, an enriched frieze, a modillion cornice, and a half-glazed door. To the south, there is another door within a moulded architrave surround, also with an enriched frieze and a projecting cornice above, leading to a door of six fielded panels, with the top two panels cut away and glazed. A continuous dentilled cornice runs over the ground floor, which has two modern shop fronts. Nos. 7-13 (odd) form a group with this building.
