Description
No 13 North Street is a 16th-century timber-framed house that has been refronted with red brick, with tile hanging on the ends, while still retaining the overhang on the first floor. The building is T-shaped, with two storeys and attics, topped by a tiled roof featuring a large 17th-century brick chimneystack. It has two hipped dormers with casement windows and four windows in total. The south half of the house has sash windows on the first floor, including one double sash, while the north half features two three-light casements. The ground floor showcases three canted bays, and the doorcase includes a six-fielded panelled door, with the top two panels cut away and glazed. The side elevation displays a mix of curved and plain tiles. Nos 7-13 (odd) form a group.
