Description
Nos 21 to 23 on South Street are a pair of 17th-century buildings that are cemented and stand two storeys high. No 21 features a parapet and has one sash window above. The ground floor has a 19th-century plate-glass shop front flanked by pilasters. Nos 22 and 23 have gable ends facing the street, with each having one sash window above. No 22 includes a plate-glass shop front with a 19th-century fascia and pilasters, while No 23 has an early 19th-century oriel shop window with glazing bars and a 19th-century fascia. These buildings form a group with Vicar's Hall and Crypt, Canon Gate, and Nos 8 to 25 on South Street.
